Get answers to common questions about Traditional Sew In.
With proper care a traditional sew-in can last 6–12 weeks depending on hair growth and maintenance. Regular cleansing, scalp moisturizing, and avoiding heavy tension extend wear. We recommend follow-up appointments every 6–8 weeks to check tracks and refresh if needed.
When installed correctly a sew-in protects natural hair by tucking strands into braids, reducing daily manipulation. However excessive tension or neglect can cause breakage. Our stylists use gentle braiding techniques and consult on maintenance to keep hair healthy throughout wear.
Yes you can wash and style your hair with care. Use diluted shampoos, concentrate on the scalp, avoid saturating wefts, and gently pat extensions dry. Limit direct heat on the tracks and always use heat protectant when styling to maintain longevity.
This service uses up to four bundles to create a full-head transformation, depending on your desired density and length. During your consultation we’ll assess hair volume and recommend the ideal number of bundles for a natural balanced result.
Swimming and exercising are possible but require precautions. Rinse chlorine or salt thoroughly after swimming, braid or bun hair to reduce tangling, and wear a swim cap when needed. Regular conditioning and proper drying prevent matting and preserve the install.
Yes a natural leave-out enhances realism by blending your own hair with extensions at the hairline. Proper color matching, seamless parting, and edge styling are essential. Be mindful of gentle care on leave-out to avoid heat damage or thinning at the edges.
