Get answers to common questions about Perfecting Touch-Up.
Most clients return 6 to 8 weeks after their initial microblading or combo session. This mandatory touch-up allows us to assess healed pigment, correct fading or gaps, and perfect symmetry so your brows heal evenly and last longer.
The touch-up refines healed color rather than drastically changing it; we adjust pigment tone subtly to account for how your skin absorbed ink, ensuring a natural, corrected shade without surprise color shifts.
Yes, at Gem Beauty Lounge the follow-up is mandatory for all microblading and combo clients to lock in results. It ensures corrections, final color matching, and long-term retention; without it, results may appear uneven or fade prematurely.
Expect 45–90 minutes depending on needed corrections. Consultation, mapping, numbing, and precise pigment work are included. We allow extra time to compare healed brows and make careful adjustments for flawless symmetry.
Discomfort is minimal — we use medical-grade topical anesthetics before and during the Perfecting Touch-Up. Most clients report mild pressure or vibration rather than pain; your comfort is monitored and adjusted throughout the session.
Aftercare includes keeping brows dry for 7–10 days, avoiding heavy sweating, saunas, pools, exfoliants, and direct sun. Apply recommended ointment, avoid picking scabs, and return for any concerns; proper aftercare protects pigment and ensures optimal healing and longevity.
