Get answers to common questions about Waxing - Bikini.
Please arrive with clean skin and natural hair length. Avoid tanning, exfoliating, and heavy lotions for 24 to 48 hours before your appointment. Aim for about a quarter-inch of hair, and tell your esthetician about medications or sensitivities.
Some discomfort is normal, especially for first-time waxing. Pain varies by sensitivity and area; most clients describe quick, sharp tugs followed by relief. We use efficient techniques and soothing products to reduce discomfort. Topical numbing can be requested for extra-sensitive clients.
Hair should be about a quarter-inch, roughly six millimeters, for optimal waxing grip. Too-short hair won't adhere to the wax, and overly long hair may increase discomfort. If needed, we can trim hair to the ideal length before waxing.
Most clients schedule bikini-line waxing every four to six weeks for consistent maintenance. Individual growth cycles vary; as you continue waxing, regrowth often becomes finer and sparser, which can extend time between appointments.
We cannot wax areas with active sunburn, open wounds, rashes, cold sores, or active infections. Recent chemical peels, laser treatments, or isotretinoin use require special care—please disclose medical treatments so we can advise or reschedule safely.
Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, sun exposure, and tight clothing for 24 to 48 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers or aloe to soothe skin. Wait five to seven days before exfoliating to prevent irritation and reduce ingrown hairs.
