Get answers to common questions about Waxing - Legs.
Most clients enjoy smooth legs for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth and aftercare. Gentle exfoliation and proper moisturization help extend results. Schedule follow-up appointments every four to eight weeks to maintain consistently smooth legs.
Waxing can cause brief discomfort, but pain is usually mild and tolerable. Our technicians use swift technique, warm wax, and calming products to minimize sensitivity. Numbing creams can be discussed for very sensitive clients.
For optimal results hair should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long (roughly 6–12 mm). If hair is too short waxing may be less effective; if too long we may trim slightly before service.
Clients with sensitive skin can often be waxed after a consultation and patch test. We may avoid waxing with active rashes, open wounds, severe eczema, or recent chemical treatments. Your technician will recommend safe alternatives if needed.
Before: gently exfoliate a day or two prior, avoid sun exposure and harsh products, and ensure proper hair length. After: avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy friction, and exfoliate lightly after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs; use soothing moisturizers.
Contraindications include active sunburn, open wounds, contagious skin infections, recent chemical peels, and certain medications like isotretinoin or strong blood thinners. Discuss medications and medical history during booking for a safe, tailored service.
